My love for breakdancing has been with me since elementary school. In grade 4, performers would always come to our school. The people that performed always did crazy things, which is what got me hooked on the field. Additionally, I had friends who danced breakdance and trained in Bat Yam. Every day at school, I remember how during breaks they would form circles and start breakdancing. Every break, I was with them just to experience their circles. I would try things here and there, and even got inspired to come and learn it on my own. So, I downloaded a guide at the time and started laying the groundwork, but I didn't take it seriously at first. In grade 8, I got into it seriously. I trained alone and persevered through it all.

I reached a certain level and my confidence soared. I started feeling comfortable with my skills, and when there were street performances on the Bat Yam promenade, I would enter without any doubt. During one of the street performances, one of the dancers sent me a message the next day and invited me to a training camp because he said I had potential. The dancer was called Eli and he was in a group called "ELEFUNX" who also performed at our school. From there, I went to the training camp and experienced dancing at a level I had never experienced before. It was simply insane. The training camp was 4 days of endless dancing, sweat, training, practice, and along the way, I made new friends whom I'm still in touch with today. I got all the motivation I needed from there to continue training and to be better.

After that, I decided to join a class and dive into it full force. It got to the point where my trainer would give me exercises and I would study on the side because I started progressing much faster than the rest of the group. In the class, I gave it my all, and over time I joined ELEFUNX. It was simply amazing. The training with ELEFUNX was very serious. It got to the point where it was decided that as a group, we would compete in the national championship for teams. After so much hard work and intense training, we won first place! From there, representing Israel abroad was on the horizon.
So where does Calisthenics come in, you ask? Basically, it was always there because breakdancing strengthened me, and I always did handstands and Planches during elementary school. The serious push came from a couple of kids that trained with in school. They did muscle ups, handstands and etc. It gave me a lot of motivation, and I decided I also wanted to enter this world. I started training on my own and would go down to the fitness park almost every day. With time, I got fitter, built my body, and became stronger!
I met Yaniv in grade 9, but we didn't have much interaction at that time. In grade 11, I was on the verge of quitting, and then he sparked a fire in me. He decided he wanted to enter the world of calisthenics and wanted us to start training together, and it happened! We trained together like crazy in the summer, and from there, I was on a completely different level.
We started attending more sessions together, and in grade 12, Yaniv uploaded his first video to Barthletics on YouTube. His transformation video just exploded, and from there we decided to do something bigger than Barthletics. We decided to start uploading vlogs and tutorials in English.
As of today, we're in a completely different situation, and I'm happy to be a part of it! I'm a certified trainer and teach calisthenics to others, and our goal is to expand this sport through all of our country so that there's more awareness to Calisthenics when it comes to the fitness world.
